The Business Development Specialist develops leads, verifies and updates data in the CRM system and provides assistance to the Inside Sales Team.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing existing client/prospect database and performing data cleansing
  • Flagging records for merging/purging
  • Prospecting via several avenues (trade publications, internet, third party databases) and entering missing companies into the database
  • Cold calling companies to obtain basic qualification information and passing along any warm leads that are uncovered
Requirements
  • Analytical with the ability to learn the difference between various company types in the industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Capability of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • Service focused
  • Ability to successfully multi-task when working independently or within a team environment
  • Regular attendance and a regular work schedule is an essential function of this
