The Audience Development Specialist is the principal manager for content distribution across a varied list of internally produced editorial including monthly, quarterly and tri-annually produced market reports, two magazine brands, eight supporting newsletters and other products in planning. The Audience Development Specialist will perform a variety of editorial, operational and promotional tasks for the online marketing system for the Yardi Publishing Group.

Responsibilities

  • Works with content developers to direct how to position articles and assets for use in the Yardi Publishing site network, email newsletters and social promotions increasing the number of website visits
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with numerous media outlets and their websites by monitoring their content and making frequent contributions, links, etc. to increase Yardi Publishing website visibility and visits
  • Works with premium content creators – including magazine editors, event producers, app producers and product managers – to effectively repurpose content for distribution and promotion on the web and via email and social media
  • Plans, executes and optimizes daily email marketing campaigns using links, product reviews, embedded advertising and display advertising
  • Optimizes all daily portal content for search engines and manages audience engagement, subscription lists and add/delete tools and utilities
  • Coordinates advertising and marketing programs
  • Plans, executes and optimizes all website conversion architecture including Rapid Conversion Landing Pages, Floaters, OFIEs, OFINs and test links required to build new email subscriber relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in interactive media, journalism, communications, marketing, creative writing or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of relevant digital marketing experience with working knowledge of open source content management systems, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, google and other search engine analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Goal driven with the ability to adapt to change and to new opportunities
  • Solid grammar, spelling and composition skills
  • Must be motivated and enthusiastic team player
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
