The Energy Analyst will be responsible for managing and supporting the Commercial Energy Service client’s energy accounts, as well as providing energy pricing and reports when necessary.

The Commercial Energy Services Division’s mission is to provide a comprehensive, best-in-class suite of solutions to help clients manage cost, risk and compliance related to their energy use, while reducing consumption and assisting with sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze clients’ energy cost, consumption, and sustainability data
  • Conduct research and act as a resource regarding energy commodities pricing and marketplace trends
  • Effectively communicate updates and opportunities to clients
  • Stay up to date on regulatory trends that may impact our clients’ costs or sustainability needs
  • Liaison between clients and energy suppliers by facilitating RFPs and resolving billing issues
  • Verify contract terms adhere to previously agreed upon language and include the correct data; providing assistance to legal when necessary
  • Provide ad hoc analyses based on client inquiries
  • Update and support company database
  • Monitor energy market indicators and prepare market reports
  • Create and maintain Excel financial models, interpret results, explain trends and anomalies

Requirements:

  • 0 - 3 years of experience in the position offered
  • Academic course of study in Environmental Science, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or Finance (BA or BS) preferred. An undergraduate degree in another discipline, combined with a minor in any of the above mentioned disciplines would be considered as well
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • A team player who works well with others
  • Excellent Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet research skills
  • Experience with an energy supplier a plus but not necessary
  • Experience with real estate a plus but not necessary
  • Regular attendance and a regular work schedule is an essential function of this job
