Yardi Canada is looking for a Senior Java Developer in Saskatoon, SK, to join our team building an IoT solution for apartments, condos, and single-family homes. You will be joining a skilled, diverse team that is developing a cloud-based platform that seamlessly integrates with several widely adopted Yardi products to create resident and property manager experiences that leverage IoT devices to automate everything from maintenance processes, to seamless resident move-in and move-out, as well as visitor management, water leak detection, and much more. The ideal candidate will have experience building distributed systems with the same set of technologies and methodologies we use:
- Java and associated toolchain: IntelliJ, JUnit, Maven, etc.
- Agile Development, Domain Driven Design, and Test-Driven-Development
- Distributed Micro-Services with Actor Model using Akka.io
- CQRS and Event Sourcing
- Cassandra, MySQL, NATS, Kafka, Redis, Varnish
- Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- IoT development (side projects at home definitely count!)
It’s a bonus if you have experience with:
- Device communication protocols (Z-Wave, Zigbee, BLE, LoRaWAN, etc.)
- Security risk and vulnerability mitigation
- Cloud Platforms: Google, Azure, AWS
As a programmer at Yardi you will work on a tightly knit, cross functional dev team.
