The Application Solutions Consultant is responsible for supporting the Yardi sales team by having a functional, highly technical, in-depth knowledge of Yardi software products. The goal of this role is to help increase annual revenue be serving as a subject matter expert during the sales process executed through successful product demonstration, solid client interaction, and presentation of Yardi’s value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate products at a comprehensive level with a consultative approach
  • Advise clients in how to best use the products
  • Stay current on Yardi’s solutions and their relevance in the marketplace
  • Set up demo systems, demo data and manage presentation projects
  • Be able to work with salespeople to play an integral part in their sales cycle strategies
  • Assist in the creation of sales tools, ROI tools and calculators, demo scripts, demo PPTs and demo data
  • Conduct product training for the sales team
  • Interact with product development and marketing to provide prospect and customer feedback
  • Provide high quality responses to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs
  • Provide market and customer feedback on products and services to product management and development organizations
  • Keep abreast of the competition in order to assist in the differentiation process of the sales cycle
  • Participate in product webinars, trades shows, sales seminars and user conferences as appropriate
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing materials and programs to sell Yardi’s software solutions
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 3+ years of presales experience, preferably with a Cloud ERP or point solution provider
  • Experience in 2 of the following 3 subject areas: Sales, Application Software, Real Estate Operations, Real Estate Accounting
  • Have the ability to understand and use technical products and identify and resolve technical problems
  • Have the ability to learn new products quickly and comprehensively
  • Have excellent presentation skills with a passion to work with clients and prospects
  • Have an ability to communicate with business leaders and managers in the real estate industry
  • Have an understanding of sales strategies using consultative selling and relationship-building techniques
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment and meet goals and deadlines
  • The ability to work with clients and prospects to influence product enhancements and direction
  • Strong communication and networking skills in a virtualized sales organization
  • Have strong presentation skills, an assertive, engaging personality, and a demonstrated record of generating results
  • Be a self-starter, goal-oriented and be able to function remotely with little direction
  • Be highly ethical and have disciplined professionalism
  • Be a team player who can motivate and encourage the best from others
  • Be able to use a computer and a CRM system for administrative requirements
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and operate well within an entrepreneurial company culture
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%
