We are looking for an Account Executive, Public Housing to identify, facilitate, support and execute client sales to Yardi’s existing Public Housing client base and prospective clients in the central region, U.S.

The Account Executive, Public Housing will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Working with current clients to present and sell additional products and services
  • Conducting on-line presentations/webinars to demonstrate product features and benefits, and on occasion, conduct on-site presentations.
  • Attending 1-2 Yardi-sponsored conference per year
  • Attending industry conferences and tradeshows 3-4 times per year to represent Yardi
  • Establishing a strong pipeline for Yardi products and services in order to increase revenue
  • Supporting clients with existing software by acting as an intermediary with Yardi technical support resources to ensure client satisfaction and optimal software performance
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts, and maintaining updated accounts for management review
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing materials, initiatives and programs to showcase and sell Yardi’s software solutions
  • Working with software partners and end-users as appropriate
  • Providing market and customer feedback on products and services to product management and development organizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 total years of experience working in both inside and outside sales
  • Must have solid skills in lead generation, prospect qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation and closing the sale
  • Must understand and possess the ability to sell products using a consultative approach with strong relationship building techniques
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-driven and goal oriented
  • Must have the ability to understand technical products
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, familiarity with CRM a plus
  • Prior background in software sales, property management and/or accounting systems desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements for one or more Subsidized Housing programs a plus but not required (i.e., HCV/Section 8, Low Income Public Housing, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME, Rural Development, Rental Assistance Demonstration)
