The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts for payment processing and working directly with Yardi’s accounts and internal payment system.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and balance accounts used for ACH and credit card payment processing
  • Respond to transaction research inquiries for Client Services teams
  • Will work with Profit Stars, Global, and Vantiv to research payment issues
  • Research and perform chargeback processing activities for merchant accounts
  • Setup new merchant accounts for our clients
  • File chargeback correspondence, notifications and dispute letters
  • Create and issue credit memos for processing by Accounting
  • Respond to audit requests
  • Handle 1099 processing
  • Support month-end close requirements
  • Prepare and generate reports as required

Requirements

  • BA in Accounting or related field
  • Experience with account reconciliation
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • High attention to detail and process driven
  • Ability to complete tasks within specific timeframes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Comfortable working in a variety of accounting systems
  • Strong team orientation
  • Ability to perform data entry and record keeping tasks
