The Account Executive, Senior Living will be responsible for developing and cultivating a regional territory and selling Yardi’s products and services to prospective and existing clients within the senior housing industry. This is an outside sales position requiring software sales experience in the senior housing space.


  • Heavy prospecting and identifying new sales opportunities for a designated territory
  • Managing sales activities to support business plans and revenue goals
  • Cultivating and managing professional relationships with prospective and existing clients at the senior level
  • Becoming familiar with all product solutions, the competitive climate, and promoting company products in the marketplace
  • Conducting online and onsite presentations to demonstrate Yardi’s Senior Living product offerings
  • Developing and executing outbound call and email campaigns
  • Participating and networking at industry events and tradeshows
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Maintaining accurate account information and forecasting details through a CRM system
  • Establishing a strong sales pipeline, sales forecasts and updating accounts to support revenue growth
  • Identifying client needs by introducing and up-selling Yardi ancillary tools/products to potentially increase client revenue opportunities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing materials and programs
  • Participating in regular sales meetings to report on the status of all opportunities in the sales pipeline and new acquisitions to the pipeline

**This position will require up to 50% travel**


  • Bachelor’s degree of equivalent experience
  • 3+years of successful sales experience managing and developing a sales territory
  • Solid knowledge base in sales and ability to apply basic sales principles (i.e. lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, account management and closure)
  • Ability to effectively execute sales strategies using a consultative approach and relationship building techniques
  • Ability to interface with all levels within the client organization to include individual properties, large portfolios and other senior leadership in large to mid-sized companies
  • Strong ,engaging presentation skills and ability to demonstrate product value
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid client relationships and effectively develop a sales territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to internally motivate, work interdependently, and also work effectively with a team
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate technical products
  • Prior experience entering data into a CRM system to support up to date client contact and information
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
  • Prior background in software sales, senior housing property management, or accounting systems desirable
  • Experience with using or selling CRM, eMAR, EHR or Senior Living related software
