The Customer Service Representative I is responsible for answering resident inquiries in a timely, honest, and professional manner regarding their utility bills from YES/Yardi. The Customer Service Representative will take ownership, strive for one call resolution, and communicate effectively to provide residents with a positive impression and experience with the company. Will additionally solve problems by researching and trouble-shooting different Windows applications and will be required to exhibit strong time management and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle customer calls efficiently and effectively
  • Understand policies, systems, and legal compliance and regulations as well as company products and services
  • Solve customer problems in a timely fashion using sound judgment
  • Execute customer billing inquiries and account changes accurately and promptly
  • Demonstrate adaptability and ability to multi-task in a changing environment
  • Other duties as assigned by the department lead or immediate supervisor

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High school diploma or G.E. D.
  • Minimum of 1 year of call center experience

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish Skills
  • 10-key Skills

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Required:

  • Ability to navigate with ease on PC using Internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: professional, courteous, friendly, warm, empathetic, level-headed and composed
  • Superior communication skills, particularly verbal
  • Ability to think like the customer with a passion to deliver top-notch service
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations and effectively manage a high volume workload
  • Willing to work in a call center environment with heavy telephone customer interaction
  • Proven record of dependability
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly accurate keyboard skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Strong quality orientation with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, ranging from 8:00 am – 8pm eastern time
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast- paced, ever changing business environment
  • Regular attendance and a regular work schedule is an essential function of this job
